LOL! Pregnant Brittany Cartwright Uses Baby Bump as ‘Shelf for Oranges’

Prepping for parenthood! Brittany Cartwright has been giving fans glimpses of her pregnancy journey since her and husband Jax Taylor’s September 2020 announcement. “Mom & Dad,” the Kentucky native captioned an Instagram slideshow at the time, showing off her baby bump as well as ultrasound photos. “The love of our lives is coming soon.” The former Sur bartender shared the same shots on his account, writing, “Sooooo I am gonna be Dad.” Prior to the couple’s reveal, the Michigan native hinted that he and his wife will welcome a baby girl. “We’re very similar kind of guys and I just don’t think it’s in the cards for us to have boys,” Taylor told Randall Emmett during his and pregnant Lala Kent’s sex reveal. “I think it’s gonna be a girl.” Sure enough, a pink parachute proved the reality star right. When Emmett, who shares two daughters with ex-wife Ambyr Childers, joked that he had “a house full of girls,” Taylor said that it was “a curse and also a blessing.” The dad-to-be previously spoke to Men’s Health about his plans to be “the best” father possible. “I really want to be at every PTA meeting, every soccer practice, every ballerina class,” Taylor said in December 2018. “My dad was there.” He went on to say that it was “time to start the next stage” of his life, explaining, “I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do, partied my brains out, traveled the world.” While the Vanderpump Rules stars were engaged at the time, the couple tied the knot in June 2019 in Kentucky. Ten months later, Taylor shared their plans to conceive their first child during a E! News’ Just the Sip appearance. “We’re hoping to get a quarantine baby out of this,” he said in April 2020. “We’re ready to go.” Keep scrolling to see Cartwright’s baby bump photos over the course of her pregnancy, from mirror selfies to maternity fashion.

‘Lord of the Rings’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

Heading back to Middle-earth! Author J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy series The Lord of the Rings made its big screen debut in 2001 with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring — and the rest is history. Like Tolkien’s books, the early aughts film followed a hobbit named Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) as he embarks upon a journey with others to destroy the One Ring. By doing so, he will help to save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron. Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) and Andy Serkis (Gollum) were among the film’s star-studded cast. After the Peter Jackson-directed film went on to garner more than $888 million worldwide, two final installments followed: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). “I think what sticks in my mind is largely what’s loomed in my mind since we finished, which is just the experience of having made it. Being in New Zealand,” Woods told Cinema Blend in 2016 of his experience working on the film series. “The two months of prep before we started shooting when we got to know each other, and had this buzz of excitement about the adventure we were going on. We knew it would be special, but we didn’t know what was right around the next bend.” The franchise won 17 of the 30 Academy Award nominations it nabbed. The Return of the King won all 11 nods it received, including Best Picture — a major achievement that allowed it to become the first fantasy film to succeed in that category. Jackson went on to direct a prequel trilogy series between 2012 and 2014 based on The Hobbit, Tolkien’s children’s book that was the predecessor to Lord of the Rings. Many of the franchise’s original stars returned to reprise their roles. A Lord of the Rings TV series is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2021. In July 2020, Wood told IndieWire that he is “super fascinated” by the project and would “absolutely” cameo if asked. “If there was a world where that made sense and was organic to what they’re doing, then yes,” he said at the time. “Look, any excuse to get to go to New Zealand to work on something, I am absolutely there.” Scroll down to see where the Lord of the Rings cast is today!

Britney Spears’ Inner Circle Makes a Case for Her Conservatorship to End

Pulling back the curtain. A new documentary centers on Britney Spears’ life and career, offering rare insight from those in her inner circle about her lengthy conservatorship battle. The sixth episode of The New York Times Presents, titled “Framing Britney Spears,” features interviews with insiders including the Princess of Pop’s longtime family friend and former assistant, Felicia Culotta; the Jive Records marketing executive who helped shape her career, Kim Kaiman; various journalists and photographers who have covered Spears, 39, over the years; and lawyers who have had involvement in the conservatorship. The 75-minute film takes viewers through the Louisiana native’s childhood, her days on Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, her megasuccessful music career, her romantic relationships with Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline, her infamous breakdown in the mid-2000s, her comeback and the indefinite work hiatus that she has been on since 2019 as she fights for control of her life and money. In February 2008, Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was named the conservator of her person and her estate. She has remained under the court-ordered guardianship ever since and rarely speaks about it publicly, though her attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, told a judge in November 2020 that “she is afraid of her father” and refuses to “perform as long as her father is in charge of her career.” While Britney filed a request that same month to have Jamie, 68, removed as the conservator of her estate and replaced by a third party, he later claimed to CNN that they had been on “good terms” as recently as August 2020. Jamie has argued that he should stay on the case as he had been instrumental in saving Britney’s life and career when she was at her lowest point. The “Toxic” singer’s mother, Lynne Spears, is considered an interested party in the conservatorship, though she has never had a formal role like her ex-husband. Lynne, 65, has, however, indicated that she is on Britney’s side in terms of loosening the constraints. The Through the Storm author’s attorney, Gladstone Jones, said in a November 2020 court hearing that “Lynne believes the time is now to start fresh given the circumstances of Britney’s request [to remove Jamie].” In the midst of the drama, Britney’s diehard fans launched the #FreeBritney campaign on social media to voice concerns about possible injustices in the case. Ingham said in a September 2020 court filing that “Britney welcomes and appreciates the informed support of her fans” as she tries to “regain some personal autonomy” during her time out of the spotlight. Scroll down to read more from “Framing Britney Spears,” which begins streaming on Hulu Friday, February 5, and airs on FX that evening at 10 p.m. ET.

Chip and Joanna Gaines' Family Album Through the Years

Loving life! It’s been a wild ride for Chip and Joanna Gaines after meeting in 2001 in Waco, Texas, and setting out to make a life together. The Kansas native and New Mexico-born carpenter tied the knot in 2003, and share five children, Drake, Ella, Duke, Emmie Kay and Crew. Shortly after getting married, the pair began building their life in Texas — which included their first business ventures, Magnolia Market and Magnolia Homes. They rose to fame nearly a decade later when they landed their own TV show, Fixer Upper, in 2012. Their family, however, has always come first. “At the end of the day, I love Jo more than anything in the world,” Chip told E! News in a March 2020 episode of In the Room. Once the series hit HGTV in 2013, the duo’s empire began to take off. They relaunched the market alongside a bakery on a 20,000-square-foot grain barn in 2015 — with food trucks and a nursery on the premises — called the Silos, before announcing in 2017 that the show that started it all would be ending with its fifth season. The duo stepped away from the cameras later that year with the final episode airing in 2018, but Chip and Joanna didn’t let up when it came to their Magnolia brand. They opened Magnolia Table restaurant in February 2018 and Magnolia Press coffee shop in November 2019. “Opening a coffee shop felt symbolic for what we hope people find when they come visit us in Waco — a space to be inspired and simply savor the time they’re spending with family and friends,” Joanna wrote on her blog in January 2020. “In a world where everything feels rushed, there’s a familiar and worthwhile pause waiting for us in a good cup of coffee — and chocolate cake — which we also serve at the Press!” The pair, who have published six books between them, are set to launch their own network in October 2020. They also have a line at Target. Scroll down to see their journey through the years — and their sweetest family moments.
